News: Wine 1.3.26 Released

The development version of Wine 1.3.26 is now available.

What’s new in this version:

* Various fixes for Internet Explorer included.
* Support for / SetDIBits the DIB engine.
* Support for enhanced metafiles tool in Vista.
* Many improvements in WinHTTP.
* A series of corrections for stubless COM reference count.
* Improved mechanism for registering DLL.
* Various bug fixes.

The source is available now.   Binary packages are in the process of being built and will be published shortly in their respective download sites.

The Wine development release 1.3.25 is now available.

What's new in this release (see below for details):
  - Rewrite of the audio support, using the Win7 architecture.
  - Old-style sound drivers for Jack, NAS and ESD are removed.

  - Improved handling of the shell recycle bin.
  - Better joystick support in DirectInput.
  - Initial stub for VBScript support.
  - Various bug fixes.

Wine 1.3.24 Released

he Wine development release 1.3.24 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

* Various DirectInput improvements.
* Support for line breaking in Uniscribe.
* More UI elements in builtin Shell Explorer.
* Some more D3DX9 functions.
* Improved support for shell known folders.
* Various bug fixes.

The Debian project is pleased to announce the second update of its stable distribution Debian 6.0 (codename “squeeze”). This update mainly adds corrections for security problems to the stable release, along with a few adjustments to serious problems. Security advisories were already published separately and are referenced where available.

Please note that this update does not constitute a new version of Debian 6.0 but only updates some of the packages included. There is no need to throw away 6.0 CDs or DVDs but only to update via an up-to-date Debian mirror after an installation, to cause any out of date packages to be updated.

Those who frequently install updates from security.debian.org won’t have to update many packages and most updates from security.debian.org are included in this update.

New installation media and CD and DVD images containing updated packages will be available soon at the regular locations.

Upgrading to this revision online is usually done by pointing the aptitude (or apt) package tool (see the sources.list(5) manual page) to one of Debian’s many FTP or HTTP mirrors. A comprehensive list of mirrors is available at:
